Heidi Konig

Heidi's first introduction to printing was through her grandfather who produced many woodcuts and linocuts. Today Heidi works on her prints in a very spontaneous way using the etching plate as a drawing board. Heidi will then hand colour every print with many of the key details being added after they have been through the press. Travel is the most important inspiration for Heidi's creativity and she makes regular trips overseas to encounter new people and cultures first hand.
